The State Recovery Calculations are built on 3 Main Criteria of which scores are calculated on 5 key metrics

Criteria 1: Vaccination Progress

Malaysia currently ranks amongst the fastest to vaccinate its population over the shortest period of time with the country on track to reach 80% before the end of October 2021

  • Metric 1a: % of State Population Partially Vaccinated – Score: 20%
  • Metric 1b: % of State Population Fully Vaccinated – Score: 20%

Criteria 2: Hospitalisation (Number of Serious Cases active in the State)

The number of individuals who have contracted serious symptoms (Category III and IV) as a factor of the state’s population.

  • Metric 2: Number of Patients Currently in Hospitals and ICUs per 10,000 Population (State) – Score: 30%

Criteria 3: Utilisation of Dedicated COVID-19 Facilities (Hospital Beds and ICUs)

The key concern will be making sure that the healthcare infrastructure dedicated to COVID-19 is not overwhelmed.

  • Metric 3a: % Availability of Hospital Beds – Score: 15%
  • Metric 3b: % Availability of ICU Beds – Score: 15%

We then apply a Ranking Score on a Scale of 1 to 4 described below for each State

Recovery Score Recovery Rating
